Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has given the X-Trail a minor update and launched it nationwide starting September 18.

The X-Trail is a midsize SUV passenger vehicle that Nissan has been selling since 2000. The current model not only enhances its sense of quality but is also equipped with advanced technologies such as e-POWER, the VC-Turbo engine, and e-4ORCE, making it a vehicle that symbolizes Nissan’s technological expertise.

On the exterior, the X-Trail features a redesigned front grille with a horizontal slat motif, along with updated signature lamps. Gloss black and satin-finish silver accents have been added throughout the body to further enhance its premium appearance.

Inside, the instrument panel and door trim have been changed to black, and the seat upholstery has been updated. The optional Nappa leather specification is now available in brown, creating a calm and refined impression. The instrument panel adopts a black-based theme, and when equipped with the optional Nappa leather seats, it forms a combination color scheme with chestnut brown, resulting in a sophisticated and composed atmosphere. The steering wheel features a new shape, while the switches on the spokes carry over from the previous model. Folding down the rear seats creates a flat and spacious cargo area.

In terms of functionality, the infotainment system now includes Google built-in for the first time in a Nissan model sold in Japan. In addition to navigation via Google Maps, it supports voice control through Google Assistant and allows access to apps via the Google Play Store. The Intelligent Around View Monitor is also adopted for the first time on a domestic model.

The powertrain remains unchanged, continuing to use the e-POWER system, in which the engine generates electricity to drive the motor. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter inline three-cylinder turbo engine featuring variable compression, delivering efficient performance from normal driving to high-load conditions. For 2WD models, a front-mounted BM46 motor is used, while 4WD models are equipped with the MM48 motor.

The X-Trail is available in three grades: S, X, and G, with a choice between 2WD (FF) and 4WD (e-4ORCE). The standard configuration is a two-row, five-passenger layout, while only the X grade with 4WD offers a three-row, seven-passenger option.

Why not head out for a drive in the X-Trail equipped with even more advanced technology?
