Subaru Forester Special Edition SPORT/SPORT EX Black Selection Debuts

Subaru announced on July 24 the special edition “SPORT Black Selection” and “SPORT EX Black Selection” for its SUV model, the Forester, featuring a dark-tone coordinated interior and exterior.

The Subaru Forester (FORESTER) is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured and sold by Subaru since 1997. Equipped with a horizontally opposed engine and Symmetrical AWD, it achieves both stable driving performance and excellent off-road capability, earning high praise for providing confidence even in harsh road conditions such as snow and rain. The sixth-generation Forester, introduced in 2025, carries on this core philosophy while featuring a refreshed design and significantly evolved safety equipment. In addition, a newly introduced strong hybrid (S:HEV) has been added to the lineup, balancing fuel efficiency and driving performance and evolving the model to meet the needs of a wider range of users.

The newly added Subaru Forester special editions “SPORT Black Selection” and “SPORT EX Black Selection” are based on the “SPORT” and “SPORT EX” models equipped with a 1.8-liter direct-injection turbo engine. They feature 18-inch aluminum wheels finished in dark metallic paint, as well as black and dark gray exterior accents such as front and rear bumper guards and side cladding with dark gray paint finishes, creating a coordinated dark-tone appearance inside and out.

On the exterior of the Subaru Forester special editions “SPORT Black Selection” and “SPORT EX Black Selection,” the aluminum wheels, previously finished in bronze, now feature a dark metallic paint finish. The front and rear bumper guards, side grating, and Symmetrical AWD D-pillar cover ornament are finished in dark gray, giving the vehicle a more tightened and refined impression.

Inside the Subaru Forester “SPORT Black Selection” and “SPORT EX Black Selection,” bronze-painted interior elements such as the instrument panel, shift lever, and steering wheel have been replaced. The steering wheel is now wrapped in genuine leather with piano black accents, brown stitching, and high-texture leather, while the shift lever is also wrapped in genuine leather with piano black accents. In addition, the door trim (upper/mid), previously finished in bronze and gray tricot, has been changed to wrapped Bran Nobu material [Black/Black (Brown stitching) accents], resulting in a specification that combines sportiness with a sense of premium quality.

Furthermore, a Harman Kardon sound system is equipped, allowing occupants to enjoy high-quality music while on the move.
