In June, Toyota Motor Corporation released two special edition models of the Crown Sedan to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Crown: the “Z 'THE 70th'” and the “Z 'THE LIMITED-MATTE METAL',” the latter being exclusively available through “THE CROWN,” a dedicated Crown dealership.

The exterior of the Toyota Crown Sedan “Z 'THE 70th'” features two-tone body colors—“Precious Metal × Precious White Pearl” and “Precious Metal × Precious Black Pearl”—that are available exclusively for this special edition as manufacturer options, expressing harmony with Japanese landscapes. In addition, jet-black chrome accents are applied to elements such as the lower grille moldings. The model is also equipped with 20-inch matte black aluminum wheels and exclusive side decals bearing the “THE 70th” logo.

Inside, the “Z 'THE 70th'” features a special interior color called “Black Luster.” The instrument panel, center console, and door trim are all finished with black woodgrain-style panels. Exclusive items bearing the “THE 70th” logo are also included. A special “glass shift knob” engraved with a commemorative logo enhances the sense of exclusivity. The projection courtesy illumination displays both the Crown’s signature crown emblem and the “THE 70th” mark, distinguishing this model from the base grade.

Meanwhile, the “Z 'THE LIMITED-MATTE METAL'” special edition is finished in an exclusive “Matte Metal” body color. It also features 20-inch matte black aluminum wheels paired with 245/45ZR20 tires. To ease maintenance of the matte surface, a special surface treatment (TM Coat) has been applied.

The interior of the “Z 'THE LIMITED-MATTE METAL'” also uses the “Black Luster” color scheme. The instrument panel, center console, and door trim receive black woodgrain-style panels, while the steering wheel and shift knob feature dimpled textures. The instrument panel is adorned with a laser-engraved decoration exclusive to the “THE LIMITED-MATTE METAL.” The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel incorporates silver accents around the steering switches, dark gray metal on the spokes, and gray stitching for a refined look. Additionally, this model comes with an exclusive Crown key and manual case.
