The Corolla Cross, the first crossover SUV in the Corolla series, was originally introduced in September 2020. Built on the TNGA GA-C platform, it has been praised for its spacious cabin and high practicality.

This latest minor update to the Corolla Cross brings significant design changes to both the exterior and interior, amounting to what can be considered a substantial facelift.

On the exterior, the refreshed Corolla Cross features a redesigned front bumper and headlamps, along with a body-colored honeycomb-patterned grille, creating a more urban and refined impression. The Z grade now comes equipped with newly designed 18-inch aluminum wheels.

Inside the cabin, revisions around the shift knob and center panel enhance both the tactile quality and operability. The powertrain lineup has also been consolidated to hybrid-only models in this update.

Among the advanced new features introduced to the Corolla Cross are Toyota’s first-ever “SNOW EXTRA Mode” and Japan’s first “Signal Road Projection.” The “SNOW EXTRA Mode” engages E-Four full-time and finely controls front and rear drive force during snowy conditions, ensuring stable driving performance. The “Signal Road Projection” system projects arrows onto the road surface in conjunction with the front turn lamps, helping improve pedestrian awareness at low-visibility intersections.

The newly introduced GR SPORT grade features a dedicated hybrid unit with a 2.0-liter M20A-FXS engine, delivering powerful acceleration. The addition of a new SPORT mode greatly enhances throttle response, while dedicated suspension and 19-inch tires improve cornering performance and straight-line stability. Both the exterior and interior of the GR SPORT grade are designed exclusively for the GR lineup, including a specially designed front bumper, sports seats, and unique trim materials, offering a blend of functionality and sportiness.

In terms of comfort features, the Z grade now comes standard with ventilated seats for both the driver and passenger. GR SPORT and Z grades are also equipped with the Adaptive High-beam System. Furthermore, the GR SPORT, Z, and S grades offer an optional panoramic view monitor with underfloor transparency display. GR SPORT and Z grades are fitted with the “Display Audio (Connected Navigation Compatible) Plus,” providing both convenience and advanced features.
