Suzuki has released the all-new “Jimny Nomad,” the first-ever 5-door model in the Jimny series, known for its authentic four-wheel drive capabilities and off-road performance. The Jimny Nomad is offered in a single grade, with a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The new Jimny Nomad is a four-seater model built around the concept of a “genuine 5-door compact 4x4 with excellent off-road capability.” While maintaining the Jimny series’ core appeal of rugged off-road performance, it enhances rear passenger comfort through the addition of rear doors and an extended wheelbase.

The exterior of the Jimny Nomad features the signature Jimny design with a five-slot front grille, accented by gunmetal paint and chrome trim to convey a premium feel. Unpainted resin bumpers and fender protectors help reduce damage to the body panels from flying stones and mud. Its square body design ensures good visibility of the vehicle's posture and surroundings, enhancing spatial awareness and helping drivers avoid hazards. Furthermore, the front and rear bumpers are shaped with cutaway lower sections to improve off-road clearance and capability.

Inside, the Jimny Nomad carries forward the functional design ethos of the Jimny series, which emphasizes ease of operation and control even in harsh off-road environments. Rear window trims have been added to improve comfort for back-seat passengers, and a rear power window switch for the driver has been added to the front console box. By shifting the rear seat position 50mm backward, knee space has been expanded. The distance between rear passengers has also been increased by 90mm, improving rear seat comfort. Additionally, the hip point of the rear seats has been raised by 20mm, and the seat cushion thickness has been increased to enhance ride comfort, especially on long drives.

In terms of driving performance, the Jimny Nomad features a newly developed ladder frame designed specifically for this model, ensuring sufficient rigidity despite increased weight. It also inherits key features from the Jimny lineup, such as the FR layout, part-time 4WD with low-range transfer gear, and a 3-link rigid axle suspension system.

As for safety, the Jimny Nomad comes standard with the Dual Camera Brake Support system, a collision mitigation braking system. The 4-speed automatic model is also equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) to support highway driving, enhancing its suite of advanced features.
