Back in July 2022, Toyota announced that the 16th-generation Crown would comprise four different body types. The first, the Crossover, debuted in September of the same year, followed by the Sport in October 2023, then the Sedan in November. Now, the Estate has officially been launched as the final installment in the series.
The Crown Estate is designed around the concept of an “Active Cabin for Adults,” merging the characteristics of a wagon and an SUV into a unique body style. Among its distinguishing features is a flat luggage deck, making it a standout within the Crown lineup.
The exterior of the Crown Estate showcases a sleek and spacious cabin made possible by the GA-K platform. While the front fascia shares the common design language of the Crown series, the integrated front bumper and grille feature a refined mesh pattern that transitions from top to bottom. Enhancing the vehicle’s sophisticated and wide stance are the Hammerhead front face with horizontally aligned daylight running lamps, and a full-width rear combination lamp that stretches across the tailgate.

Sharing the same 2,850mm wheelbase as the Crossover model, the Estate offers ample rear-seat legroom along with generous cargo space. When the rear seats are folded down, the luggage deck extends to a remarkable 2 meters in length. Usability is further enhanced with a power tailgate, while features like a pull-out deck chair and deck table make full use of the flat cargo area, offering a more versatile and enjoyable space.
Touted as offering “first-class seating for all,” the Crown Estate was developed with long-distance travel in mind—even when fully loaded with passengers and luggage. The interior features a bright, spacious atmosphere with a high sense of quality. It incorporates the Crown series’ signature “Island Architecture,” and introduces vintage-inspired cloud-like patterns on the trim in Saddle Tan and Grayish Blue, creating a refined ambiance. The dashboard layout places the meter and display on a horizontal axis, minimizing eye movement and allowing the driver to stay focused, making long drives less fatiguing.
Under the hood, the Crown Estate offers a choice between a 2.5-liter hybrid system and a 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid system. The plug-in hybrid is equipped with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, delivering an EV driving range of 89 kilometers.
In terms of safety, the Crown Estate comes with the latest Toyota safety technologies, including Toyota Safety Sense. This comprehensive suite includes features such as road sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, and radar cruise control, ensuring a secure and stress-free driving experience.
