LEXUS IS300h / IS300 Special Edition “F SPORT Mode Black IV” Debuts

On January 23, Lexus introduced the special edition “F SPORT Mode Black IV” for its compact FR sports sedan, the IS300h and IS300.

The LEXUS IS is a compact FR sports sedan that has consistently pursued the joy of driving. Since the launch of its first-generation model in 1999, it has continued to evolve as the foundation of the Lexus driving experience, earning a reputation for its impressive dynamic performance and sporty design.

The first-generation model debuted in 1999 as the successor to Toyota’s “ALTEZZA.” The current model is the third generation.

The LEXUS IS300 is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine with intercooler, while the IS300h features a 2.5-liter engine combined with a hybrid system. In the F SPORT version, both models come with exclusive F SPORT sport seats made of leather material, and the instrument panel shifts from a dual-optitron meter to a single LCD display that can be customized. It also features specially tuned suspension, and while the standard tire size for both front and rear is 235/40R19, the F SPORT model uses wider 265/35R19 tires for the rear.

The special edition “F SPORT Mode Black IV” is the fourth model in the “F SPORT Mode Black” lineup. Based on the IS300h and IS300 F SPORT models, it features forged aluminum wheels with black paint, and black-painted door mirrors with smoked chrome accents. In addition, special black stainless steel is used for the window moldings.

The interior of the special edition “F SPORT Mode Black IV” features a silver-ink black steering wheel and Ultrasuede seats, with a black-based color coordination that further enhances the bold styling that characterizes the IS. A panoramic view monitor is also specially equipped, adding to its advanced safety features.

Other features include an 8-inch TFT LCD instrument panel with an exclusive opening animation, special ash wood ornament panel (open finish in silver-ink black), black Ultrasuede/L tex sport seats (with driver’s seat position memory and ventilation functions for both driver and passenger), and a special dimpled genuine leather steering wheel with paddle shifters, also in ash wood with an open finish in silver-ink black.
