On November 28, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing announced a minor update to the GR Supra along with the release of a special limited-edition model, the "GR Supra A90 Final Edition," which will be limited to 300 units worldwide. This special edition marks the culmination of the current GR Supra lineup, with production of the existing model slated to end.
Since its debut in 1978, the Supra has remained faithful to its roots as a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car powered by an inline six-cylinder engine. In 2019, after a 17-year hiatus, the Supra was revived with strong support from Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda. It has also made a name for itself in motorsports, including participation in SUPER GT and numerous international races through the track-only "GR Supra GT4," bringing driving excitement to fans around the globe.
The updated GR Supra was refined to deliver “even greater unity between car and driver,” with enhancements designed to maximize driving enjoyment on winding roads and racetracks alike. Brake performance has been improved for added safety and confidence, while the body, suspension, and chassis have been further strengthened and optimized. Aerodynamic performance has also been refined.
Inside the updated Supra, the driver's seat is adorned with embroidered GR logos and features a combination of Alcantara and genuine leather upholstery. The shift knob ring and stitching (available on the 6-speed manual only), as well as red seatbelts, emphasize the vehicle’s sporty aesthetic.
The exterior of the GR Supra A90 Final Edition has been honed with aerodynamic components developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Europe, who also lead the GR Supra GT4 program. These include a carbon front spoiler, carbon front canards, and a front center flap. A swan-neck style carbon rear wing has also been fitted, improving aerodynamic balance between front and rear, optimizing downforce and drag, and enhancing grip and handling for a sharper driving experience.

Inside the A90 Final Edition, RECARO Podium CF carbon full bucket seats are used, featuring Alcantara padding for secure body support under high G-forces, enabling precise control during spirited driving. Alcantara trim also extends to the steering wheel, door panels, center console knee pads, and central instrument panel, creating a unified, premium feel throughout the cockpit. Red seatbelts and exclusive carbon scuff plates add a distinctive touch befitting this limited-edition model.
Under the hood, the A90 Final Edition boasts an optimized powertrain. By revising the intake system and adopting a low-backpressure catalytic converter, pressure loss has been reduced. Coupled with refined engine control, the model achieves an output of 320 kW (435 PS) and 570 Nm (58.1 kgf·m) of torque.
With the A90 Final Edition marking the end of this generation of the Supra, fans can only hope for a future revival of this legendary sports car.
