On December 9, 2024, Mazda announced the updated model of the CX-60, a mid-size crossover SUV known for delivering the most sporty driving experience among Mazda's two-row SUVs. The CX-60 features a longitudinally mounted engine with a rear-wheel-drive platform, offering a steering feel unique to RWD, a powerful high-output powertrain, and exceptional environmental performance. It also embodies Mazda’s design philosophy and craftsmanship, integrating Japanese aesthetics into a refined and sophisticated exterior and interior.

For this update, Mazda has enhanced ride comfort and introduced a new grade, "XD SP," along with a special edition model, "XD-HYBRID Trekker." The "XD SP" emphasizes a sportier exterior, while the "XD-HYBRID Trekker" is designed with enhanced outdoor capabilities, making it a great choice for leisure and adventure.
The suspension has been retuned by modifying the springs and dampers, resulting in improved handling stability and ride comfort. Additionally, electric power steering and AWD control have been optimized, and noise and vibration countermeasures have been implemented to further enhance cabin quietness.
The CX-60 XD SP features exclusive black metallic 20-inch aluminum wheels, reinforcing its sporty and dynamic presence. Based on the "XD S Package," this model incorporates a piano black honeycomb front grille, black chrome signature wing, and black chrome side signature garnish with an "INLINE6" technology badge. It also includes gloss black door mirrors, creating a striking, high-contrast design.
The CX-60 XD-HYBRID Trekker is equipped with features tailored for an active outdoor lifestyle. Based on the "XD Hybrid Exclusive Sports" model, it comes in "Zircon Sand Metallic," a special body color exclusive to this edition, and includes a panoramic sunroof. To enhance functionality, it features a partition net to prevent cargo from shifting into the passenger area.
With the introduction of the new grade and special edition, the previous "XD" and "XD S Package" have been discontinued.
