Subaru announced the updated models of the LEVORG, LAYBACK, and WRX S4 in December 2024.

For the LEVORG, certain grades have received interior updates. The "Smart Edition EX" now features the interior design of the "GT-H EX," enhancing its overall quality. The "Black Interior Selection" adopts a black roof and pillar trim for a more cohesive look. Meanwhile, the "STI Sport EX" and "STI Sport R EX" have revised their Bordeaux/Black leather seat color scheme, creating a more unified and sporty interior atmosphere.

For the WRX S4, the "STI Sport R EX" now features black-painted wheels instead of the previous machined-finish design. Additionally, the Bordeaux/Black leather seat color scheme has been revised to emphasize sportiness and achieve a more integrated interior design.

The LEVORG, LAYBACK, and WRX S4 have also seen improvements in their advanced safety and driver assistance systems. The Driver Monitoring System and Emergency Driver Support System have been enhanced to detect driver inattention or drowsiness, triggering emergency intervention even when the driver fails to operate the steering wheel for extended periods. New features such as pulse braking, which intermittently applies the brakes to alert the driver, and coasting functionality have been added. Additionally, the hazard lights now activate at the start of the vehicle's deceleration process when the Emergency Driver Support System engages.

Subaru has also refined EyeSight’s "Lane Centering Control" and "Lead Vehicle Steering Assist." On straight roads, the steering feel has been adjusted to be lighter for easier intervention, whereas in sharp curves or near lane boundaries, the system now provides a heavier steering feel for enhanced safety.

A new special edition model, "STI Sport R Black Limited," has been introduced for both the WRX S4 and LEVORG, based on the STI Sport R EX grade. The interior features a suede-like instrument panel and door trim, along with black Recaro front seats. Externally, black door mirrors and a black roof antenna further enhance the sporty appearance.

For the LEVORG LAYBACK, the "Black Selection" special edition has been introduced, based on the Limited EX grade. The interior features black leather seats, black roof and pillar trim, and black door armrests, achieving a unified and sophisticated design. The exterior includes black-painted 18-inch aluminum wheels, black door mirrors, and a LAYBACK/Symmetrical AWD rear ornament finished in luster black paint, enhancing the vehicle's premium feel.
