In September 2024, Subaru introduced a minor update to the CROSSTREK.
The Subaru CROSSTREK is a crossover SUV that combines a compact body, authentic SUV performance, and a rugged yet sporty design, offering versatility for a wide range of activities from urban to outdoor adventures. The first generation debuted in 2012 as the "SUBARU XV," followed by the second generation in 2017. The current third-generation model further emphasizes its distinctive design while enhancing dynamic quality, usability, and safety. Additionally, the lineup now includes a FWD (front-wheel drive) model to cater to a broader range of customers.

The minor update to the Subaru CROSSTREK primarily focuses on enhancing its infotainment system and other features. The 11.6-inch center information display now places the Auto Vehicle Hold (AVH) button in the home button area for improved usability. Subaru Starlink now includes a remote air-conditioning feature, and the car locator feature has been upgraded with a hazard light activation function. For audio-less models, quality improvements include a silver-accented leather-wrapped shift lever and a piano black-style shift panel, complemented by silver stitching on the shift boot. Additionally, a new body color, "Daybreak Blue Pearl," has been introduced. The grade structure consists of two options: Touring and Limited, both available with FWD or AWD.
As for the powertrain, the Subaru CROSSTREK now exclusively offers a 2.0-liter hybrid system. The "e-BOXER" hybrid system pairs the FB20 2.0-liter horizontally opposed direct-injection four-cylinder engine, which delivers a maximum output of 145 PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 188 N·m at 4,000 rpm, with an electric motor providing 13.6 PS and 65 N·m.
Furthermore, the Subaru CROSSTREK earned the highest score in the 2023 Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP) evaluations for collision safety performance and preventive safety performance. It was awarded the "2023 Five-Star Award for Automobile Safety Performance."
