Subaru introduced minor updates to the "LEGACY OUTBACK" on September 6, 2024.
The "LEGACY OUTBACK" is Subaru's flagship crossover SUV, which has been refining its fundamental automotive qualities for nearly 30 years since the "Outback" debuted in North America in 1994. It continues to offer a sense of security and comfort for endless drives, efficient cargo capacity, and a high-quality interior.

This latest update to the LEGACY OUTBACK expands the grade lineup by adding the "Active × Black EX" grade. Subaru also enhanced the product's appeal by revising its body color options. Additionally, a new special edition model, the "Black Selection," based on the "Limited EX," has been introduced.
The interior of the "Black Selection" comes standard with black Nappa leather seats with silver stitching. Seat ventilation is included for both the driver and front passenger, and the driver's seat features an adjustable cushion length mechanism. The instrument panel trim and door trims are wrapped in black material with silver stitching for added elegance.

For the exterior, the "Black Selection" boasts several distinctive features that emphasize its refined look, such as 18-inch aluminum wheels with a dark metallic finish, a front grille with black and luster black paint, and various black-painted components, including the roof rails with crossbars, front bumper guard, front fog lamp covers, rear bumper guard, and door mirrors. The rear ornament, featuring OUTBACK/Symmetrical AWD lettering, is also finished in luster black.
The body color options for the "Black Selection" include Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Magnetite Gray Metallic, and Crystal Black Silica.

All LEGACY OUTBACK grades feature a 1.8L horizontally opposed four-cylinder turbo engine paired with a Lineartronic CVT transmission, with 4WD as the sole drivetrain option.
In terms of safety, the LEGACY OUTBACK is equipped with Subaru's advanced driver assistance system, "EyeSight." This system has evolved with a new "three-eye" configuration, combining a wide-angle stereo camera and an ultra-wide-angle monocular camera.
