On July 18, 2024, Nissan's "NOTE AURA NISMO" received a minor update, and sales have officially begun.
The NOTE AURA NISMO was developed with the concept of an “agile electric city racer,” embodying the NISMO road car philosophy of a vehicle that is “faster, more enjoyable, and safer to drive.” It features high-performance driving achieved through specialized tuning and a styling that balances aerodynamics and design.
In this recent facelift, a new 4WD version with NISMO-specific tuning has been introduced, in addition to the previous 2WD front-wheel-drive model.
The base model, the “NOTE AURA,” has already featured a 4WD option with motors on both the front and rear wheels. In the “NOTE AURA” 4WD, the rear motor previously delivered a maximum output of 68 PS and a maximum torque of 10.2 kgf·m, but the newly added “NOTE AURA NISMO” 4WD has an upgraded rear motor output of 82 PS and 15.3 kgf·m.
The NOTE AURA NISMO’s exterior also features NISMO-exclusive interior and exterior modifications. The front grille and rear bumper have been optimized to enhance aerodynamic performance. The front grille employs a design that minimizes openings while maximizing ventilation efficiency. Additionally, the rear diffuser has been adjusted to increase downforce by expanding the base area.
The aluminum wheels on the NOTE AURA NISMO 4WD are designed exclusively for this model, crafted using ENKEI’s “MATT Method” to achieve a balance between lightweight and high rigidity, achieving a 12% weight reduction compared to the 2WD wheels. This weight reduction compensates for the increased weight of the 4WD version.
In the interior, the standard “NISMO-exclusive seats” come with electric adjustment functions, and the optional “Recaro sports seats” now offer “electric reclining” (while sliding remains manual). Previously, the Recaro sports seats had manual reclining, making angle adjustments challenging.
As for the powertrain, the e-POWER control modes have been tuned specifically for NISMO. While the “NOTE AURA” offers “Eco,” “Normal,” and “Sport” driving modes, the NISMO version replaces “Sport” with “NISMO” mode, providing the most responsive acceleration. In the 4WD model, the rear-wheel drive torque is actively increased for enhanced performance.
Why not take a drive with the even more agile NOTE AURA NISMO?
