The new LBX MORIZO RR was first unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2024, followed by the domestic model announcement on July 18. Orders opened on the same day, with an official release planned for late August. The special "LBX MORIZO RR 'Bespoke Build'" edition will be limited to 100 units and available through a lottery.
Developed in collaboration with master driver Akio Toyoda, known as Morizo, the LBX MORIZO RR is a high-performance model designed to maintain LEXUS’s hallmark quality and refined aesthetics while fostering an interactive driving experience. It is equipped with a 1.6L inline 3-cylinder turbocharged engine (G16E-GTS) that combines agility and power through a dedicated platform. The world's first REDS damping structure has been used in the front lower arm to enhance response, along with measures to control noise and vibrations, providing the signature LEXUS tranquility. Additionally, it features an 8-speed Direct Shift transmission and LEXUS's first 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT), complemented by an electronically controlled full-time AWD for sporty driving.
In terms of design, the "Premium Casual" concept is embodied through exclusive equipment supporting high performance. The exterior sports custom front and rear bumpers, 19-inch forged wheels, color-matched arch and rocker moldings, emphasizing a wide, low-slung stance.
Inside, the LBX MORIZO RR offers a sporty ambiance with sports seats, aluminum pedals, and decorative interior accents. The "Bespoke Build" system allows for extensive customization, enabling owners to select interior colors, seat materials, belt colors, and stitching from a variety of options to create a one-of-a-kind car. Exclusive items include special brake calipers in Morizo's signature yellow.
Why not take a drive in the LEXUS LBX MORIZO RR and experience a new level of connection with your car?
