In July, Subaru added a special edition called the "Urban Selection" to their SUV lineup, the FORESTER.
The FORESTER is a mid-size crossover SUV that Subaru has been manufacturing and selling since 1997. The current model is the fifth generation, announced in June 2018, which balances maneuverability with spacious interiors and practical features.
The "Urban Selection" is based on the "Advance" grade of the current FORESTER, which features a 2-liter engine plus motor e-BOXER.
This special edition "Urban Selection" includes features such as a black-painted front grille, door mirror covers, and door handles in the same color as the body. The design of the aluminum wheels has also been changed, giving it a simple and sophisticated exterior that shines in urban settings.
Other features include power-folding remote-control door mirrors, colored door handles, unpainted black front fog lamp covers, 225/55R18 summer tires & 18-inch aluminum wheels (dark metallic paint and machined finish), and black-painted roof rails (optional factory-installed).
The body colors available are "Crystal White Pearl," "Ice Silver Metallic," "Magnetite Gray Metallic," "Crystal Black Silica," and "Brilliant Bronze Metallic."
However, features like the "large sunroof" and "genuine leather seats (Nappa leather)," which are factory-installed options on the base vehicle, are not available for the "Urban Selection."
The interior of the "Urban Selection" remains the same as the base vehicle, the "Advance."
For the powertrain, the "Urban Selection" uses the same hybrid system as the base vehicle: a 2.0L horizontally opposed 4-cylinder DOHC engine plus a motor e-BOXER, paired with a Lineartronic CVT transmission. The drive system is 4WD.
The "Urban Selection" comes standard with EyeSight Safety Plus (expanded visibility) [front view monitor/smart rearview mirror], ensuring high safety.
