Suzuki has undergone a full model change for the "SWIFT." The CVT model will be released on December 13, 2023, while the 5-speed MT model will be available from January 17, 2024.

The all-new fifth-generation SWIFT builds upon the design and driving performance cultivated through previous SWIFT models, enhancing safety features and convenience.

The lineup of the new SWIFT includes gasoline models "XG," mild hybrid models "HYBRID MX" and "HYBRID MZ." The transmission options include CVT and a 5-speed MT model for the "HYBRID MX."

In terms of the exterior, the new SWIFT adopts a design that evokes a sense of movement with rounded lines throughout the body and protruding fenders, giving it a dynamic appearance. A floating roof is employed to create a nimble impression, while the trapezoidal rear contributes to a stable presence. The front grille features a glossy piano black finish, and LED lamps are utilized.

New body colors introduced for the SWIFT include "Frontier Blue Pearl Metallic" and "Cool Yellow Metallic," adding to the lineup of nine monotone colors and four two-tone colors, totaling 13 patterns.

In the interior, the SWIFT features a cockpit-style layout with a strongly memorable styling that connects the instrument panel and door trim, emphasizing unity between the driver and the car. The cockpit places audio, air conditioning panels, and switches around the driver. Additionally, voice guidance functions have been added to provide guidance not only through meter displays but also through audio cues, supporting the driver during the drive. Suzuki has also introduced a 9-inch display audio system for the first time, and a 9-inch all-around monitor memory navigation is available as a manufacturer option.

Under the hood, the new SWIFT is equipped with the newly developed Z12E-type 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine generating a maximum output of 82ps and maximum torque of 108Nm. A high-efficiency CVT has been newly adopted to absorb engine rotation fluctuations efficiently, achieving both quietness and fuel efficiency. Additionally, the 5MT in the Hybrid MX model improves fuel efficiency by reducing gear resistance, resulting in a nimble shift feeling.

In terms of safety features, the new SWIFT adopts the Dual Sensor Brake Support II, which combines millimeter-wave radar and monocular camera. The detection angle and area have been expanded from the previous model, adding detection of bicycles and motorcycles, and supporting detection at intersections.

Why not take a drive with the more attractive new SWIFT?
