Nissan Motor Co. announced the release of a special edition model called the "V Selection" in celebration of the one-year anniversary of the unveiling of the new Serena on November 10th. This model is based on the gasoline-powered "Highway Star V" and comes equipped with popular safety features as standard.

The Serena underwent a full model change last year, marking the 6th generation of the model. It has garnered praise as a minivan that offers ample interior space, advanced technology, and a combination of design and functionality, providing high convenience for families to enjoy quality time together.

The Nissan Serena Special Edition "V Selection" is built upon the foundation of the gasoline-powered "Highway Star V" and includes standard features such as the "Intelligent Around View Monitor (with moving object detection)" for parking assistance and the "Intelligent Rearview Mirror" that provides a clear rear view regardless of rear-seat passengers, cargo, weather conditions, and more.

In terms of the exterior, the Serena Special Edition "V Selection" shares the design elements with the "Highway Star V," featuring standard aerodynamic parts and alloy wheels, and a more stylishly designed front grille and bumper.

For the powertrain, the Serena Special Edition "V Selection" offers only gasoline engine options, with choices of 2WD and 4WD, and it comes with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (e-CVT).

The base model for this special edition, the "Highway Star V," received the highest rating, the "Five Star Award," in the "Automotive Safety Performance 2023" assessment. This recognition is due to its advanced safety features, including a high-strength safety body (Zone Body), pedestrian injury reduction body, six airbags, and the adoption of the "360° Safety Assist (Comprehensive Driving Support System)," which has expanded to detect cyclists, among other advanced safety equipment.

The Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP), conducted jointly by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the National Agency for Automotive Safety and Victim's Aid, evaluates and publishes the safety performance of automobiles. The "Five Star Award" represents the highest accolade, earning the highest rank in both "Collision Safety Performance Evaluation" and "Preventive Safety Performance Evaluation," and is only awarded to vehicles equipped with an "Accident Automatic Emergency Reporting Device."

Why not take a drive with your family in the safer Serena Special Edition "V Selection"?
