In September 2023, Subaru introduced partial upgrades for the WRX S4 and LEVORG models. The primary focus of these upgrades is to enhance features and equipment.

The advanced driver assistance system "EyeSight" in the WRX S4 and LEVORG has been revamped to the latest generation. With the inclusion of a wide-angle single camera, it has improved collision avoidance capabilities, especially at intersections. Additionally, a "Driver Abnormality Detection System with Emergency Notification" has been adopted, which automatically stops the vehicle and sends an emergency alert when it detects driver abnormalities. Furthermore, the Multi-View Monitor system has been enhanced with 3D view and top view display capabilities, similar to those in the Crosstrek. Another innovation is the "Front View Auto Display (AUTO Mode)" feature, a first for Subaru, which automatically displays partial top view and front view when the vehicle's speed drops below 15 km/h.

The infotainment system and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) have also undergone improvements. The 11.6-inch center information display has been redesigned to provide a more user-friendly interface for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Apple CarPlay now supports multi-display functionality, while Android Auto is compatible with vertical display layouts. Additionally, Apple CarPlay now features wireless connectivity, and for the first time in Subaru vehicles, the full LCD meter can display the Apple CarPlay navigation app screen.

The factory-installed navigation system has incorporated the "what3words" location service feature and introduced a "Wrong-Way Driving Detection" function, which issues audio and visual warnings when wrong-way driving is detected, especially on highways and interchanges.

Regarding the expansion of connected services, Subaru has introduced a new "Remote Air Conditioning" feature that allows engine starting and air conditioning adjustments from outside the vehicle using a smartphone. Another noteworthy change is the adoption of harman/kardon premium audio with ten speakers in many trim levels. They have added new USB Type-C ports to both the front and rear seats, and upgraded the rated output of the existing USB Type-A ports from 2.1A to 2.4A.

Furthermore, as part of these upgrades, both the LEVORG and WRX S4 lineups have been significantly reorganized. Notably, the higher-end trim levels now come equipped with large center displays, LCD meters, and "EyeSight X." In the LEVORG lineup, there are five main configurations: "STI Sport R EX," "STI Sport EX," "GT-H EX," "Smart Edition," and the newly introduced crossover model "LEVORG Layback Limited EX." On the other hand, the WRX S4 lineup consists of two trim levels: "STI Sport R EX" and "GT-H EX."
