In October 2023, Toyota released the second installment of the new Crown series, known as the CROWN SPORTS.

The first installment of the new Crown series, the Crown Crossover, was unveiled in September 2022, and the newly announced CROWN SPORTS is the second model in this series. The CROWN SPORTS combines SUV-like design with agile and sporty driving performance.

The exterior of the CROWN SPORTS features a dynamic design that evokes a sense of exhilarating driving and combines emotional appeal with beauty. The front fascia is adorned with striking Bi-Beam LED headlights with auto-leveling functionality, enhancing the presence of the CROWN SPORTS. The rear design showcases prominent rear fenders and a quad-eye taillight arrangement, creating a sporty impression. The side silhouette adopts a design that has a distinct contour, gradually lowering towards the rear, contributing to a more SUV-like appearance.

Inside the CROWN SPORTS, a cocoon-like cockpit is employed to create a space where drivers can focus on driving while still enjoying the luxuriousness characteristic of the Crown. A 12.3-inch color meter and multi-information display offer customization options with four different themes (Casual, Smart, Tough, Sporty) and three layouts to suit individual preferences. The vehicle is equipped with features such as a "Color Head-Up Display" that can project essential information onto the windshield and "Steering Switch" for seamless and smart control without taking hands off the steering wheel, ensuring a comfortable driving experience.

Under the hood, the CROWN SPORTS is powered by a 2.5-liter hybrid system, delivering a system maximum output of 172 kW (234 PS) and achieving a fuel efficiency of 21.3 km/L in WLTC mode. This high-output and responsive engine balances powerful and smooth performance with excellent fuel efficiency.

Furthermore, it comes equipped with Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS), allowing control of steering responsiveness according to the vehicle's speed. By adjusting the rear wheel's orientation at low, medium, and high speeds, it delivers seamless and natural handling, providing a handling performance that feels responsive and easy to control.

In terms of safety features, the CROWN SPORTS is equipped with Toyota's advanced safety package, "Toyota Safety Sense." It includes various advanced features, including Pre-Collision Safety, to support driving in different scenarios, such as urban driving, highway driving, parking, and disembarking.
