Toyota has made some enhancements to its BEV, the bZ4X, to further improve its usability. In addition to offering the bZ4X for lease through the "KINTO" subscription service and nationwide Toyota rental outlets, Toyota has also started general sales through Toyota dealerships, including cash purchases and residual value type installment plans.

The bZ4X is a new-generation BEV that focuses on providing a unique sense of enjoyment, driving appeal, and safety. BEV, which stands for Battery Electric Vehicle, is characterized by being powered solely by battery electricity.

The bZ4X is a 5-passenger SUV that combines the exhilarating acceleration unique to BEVs with a calm and quiet ride, along with SUV-like driving performance.

In terms of exterior design, the bZ4X features a distinctive design by eliminating the traditional front grille and arranging sensors, lamps, and aerodynamic components in a hammerhead-shaped configuration, creating a unique front face that sets it apart from others. It also maintains a silhouette that conveys stability and grip on the road, characteristic of SUVs.

Inside the bZ4X, a "Top-Mount Meter" is adopted, which can be viewed from above the steering wheel, minimizing the need for eye movement while driving and allowing for better concentration. Additionally, a compact dial-type shift switch provides excellent operability, allowing for shifting to drive position by pushing it down and turning it to the right, and shifting to reverse by turning it to the left.

In this round of improvements to the bZ4X, the battery heating performance has been improved to reduce charging time in cold weather conditions. Furthermore, practicality has been enhanced by optimizing power consumption and air conditioning control to extend the actual driving range. The "AUTO (ECO) Mode," which contributes to improved energy efficiency, is automatically activated, reducing dependence on high-power consumption devices such as air conditioning and achieving power savings by directly warming occupants through features like seat heaters and steering wheel heaters. Additionally, air conditioning control has been optimized to reduce power consumption. A humidity sensor has been newly introduced to detect front glass fogging and control the timing of outside air intake more precisely. Information about the vehicle's charging status during charging has been displayed on the meter. It displays the time required for charging up to 80% from the current charge level, as well as the driving range based on the current charge level with the air conditioning on or off.

In terms of other equipment, rear seat heaters, an 8-way power seat for the front passenger, and black-painted wheel arch moldings are now standard equipment on the Z grade. Flash hazard lamps are standard on all models. Additionally, a G grade has been newly introduced, offering essential features and equipment at a lower price point. Key features include 18-inch aluminum wheels, quad LED headlights, and a 12.3-inch HD display.
