In October 2023, Suzuki made some improvements to the 6-speed automatic transmission version of the "SWIFT sport."

The SWIFT sport is a sporty model derived from Suzuki's compact hatchback, the "Swift." The first generation of the Swift was introduced in 2000 as a subcompact car with a crossover SUV-like appearance, emphasizing affordability.
The SWIFT sport was introduced in June 2003, simultaneously with some improvements to the base Swift model. It featured a 3-door hatchback body, equipped with aero parts including overfenders, front spoiler, and a large rear spoiler, as well as performance rods under the body to increase rigidity and Recaro seats.

The current model of the SWIFT sport, introduced in 2017 as the fourth generation, features an enlarged front grille, lower center of gravity, LED lighting for the front and rear lights following the vertical design theme inherited from the third generation, and a side view resembling a 2-door coupe with blacked-out pillars. Additionally, it has been widened for improved performance and paired with specialized tuned suspension and brakes, along with a unique exterior design including dual exhausts.
The powertrain includes a 1.4-liter inline-4-cylinder direct-injection turbocharged engine that delivers a maximum output of 140 PS and a maximum torque of 230 Nm, coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Inside the SWIFT sport, the interior is predominantly black, featuring specialized seats for enhanced support. The interior features a gradient pattern ornament that transitions from red to black on the door armrests, instrument panel, and console. The meter panel has been updated with a red tachometer and a dark silver speedometer. In the center, a 4.2-inch color multi-information display has been added, featuring a boost gauge and an oil gauge specifically for the sporty model.

In this partial upgrade of the SWIFT sport, Suzuki has made certain specification changes to comply with regulations regarding the "Rearward Vehicle Confirmation Device" and has discontinued the previously available "Suzuki Safety Support Non-equipped Vehicles." The upgrade includes the addition of a warning display on the meter when the rear parking sensor detects an obstacle, in addition to the traditional buzzer, to meet regulatory requirements.

It's worth noting that manual transmission (MT) models are not affected by this upgrade, and Suzuki enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting further developments.
