In October 2023, Honda announced the release of the third-generation "N-BOX," marking a full model change for this popular vehicle.

The Honda N-BOX is a lightweight super-height wagon known for its spacious interior, making it one of the roomiest in its class. It has consistently held the top position in annual sales figures for lightweight vehicles in Japan, making it a best-selling model.

This full model change for the N-BOX comes after a gap of six years since the second generation in September 2017, following the debut of the first generation in December 2011. While maintaining the design of the popular super-height wagon in the lightweight vehicle category, Honda has introduced new features such as the "Honda Connect" in-car communication technology, making it the first time such technology has been adopted in a lightweight vehicle. Additionally, safety has been enhanced with features like an acceleration suppression system.
2The N-BOX's exterior design retains elements from the previous model, emphasizing a simple and approachable aesthetic with a circular hole design reminiscent of household appliances. The round-shaped headlights split the surrounding rings into upper and lower sections, resembling human eyes. When the turn signals or hazard lights are activated, the ring sections turn orange and flash. The front grille features numerous small circular openings, creating a simple and clean look reminiscent of household appliances. This, combined with the eye-like shape of the headlights, gives a friendly appearance.

Inside the N-BOX, a bright color scheme dominated by gray is used, creating an interior space with a warm and inviting feel. Features like the cork-textured instrument panel tray contribute to the ambiance, making the interior reminiscent of a comfortable living room. Unlike the previous generation, where the meters were placed high and deep in the dashboard, the new model follows a more conventional design by placing the meters behind the steering wheel, resulting in a lower dashboard position and a flat surface, improving forward visibility. Additionally, the meters have transitioned from analog to digital, and the steering wheel spokes have been reduced from three to two, resulting in an overall simpler design.

In the case of the N-BOX Custom, the exterior features a three-dimensional, intricate front grille, wide horizontal headlights that span the entire front width, and Honda's first-ever Direct Projection Full LED headlights. The clear lens Full LED rear combination lamps are also distinctive features of this model.

Inside the N-BOX Custom, a predominantly black color scheme and the use of an instrument panel tray that replicates the texture of high-quality marble contribute to a luxurious and sophisticated interior space.

In terms of powertrains, the N-BOX offers two options: a naturally aspirated engine with VTEC for precise intake valve control and a turbocharged engine equipped with an electric waste gate that allows fine-tuning of exhaust pressure. Both engines have been fine-tuned to deliver a high-quality and user-friendly driving experience. The turbocharged engine is exclusive to the N-BOX Custom model.

For safety features, the N-BOX comes standard with the advanced Honda SENSING safety driving support system across all trim levels. This system utilizes a front wide-view camera and front/rear eight sonar sensors to enhance safety and peace of mind during driving.
