The Toyota GRANACE is a large minivan from Toyota based on the overseas HiAce. It was unveiled as a concept at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show and was officially released in December of the same year. It is available in two configurations: a 3-row, 6-passenger model and a 4-row, 8-passenger model, both powered by a 2.8-liter diesel engine that drives the rear wheels.

In terms of dimensions, it boasts a wide body, with a length of 5.3 meters, a width of 1.97 meters, and a height of 1.99 meters, making it even larger than Toyota's previous Japanese minivans like the ALPHARD and VELLFIRE. The exterior design features a bold front mask with abundant chrome accents, 2-eye LED headlights, and LED daytime running lights.

Inside the Toyota GRANACE, the interior is designed with luxury in mind, primarily targeting corporate transportation scenarios such as hotel shuttles. It features a lavish design with chrome accents and wood-grain panels generously used throughout the dashboard. The seats are exclusively upholstered in genuine leather, and the front seats are power-adjustable.

In this latest GRANACE upgrade, the previously standard "8-inch Display Audio" has been replaced with "Display Audio (Connected Navigation Compatible) Puls." Previously, to utilize the navigation function, buyers had to opt for a dealer-installed T-Connect Navi Kit, but the new model comes with both connected navigation and onboard navigation functionalities. Along with this unit change, the control switches around the display have been updated, and new features such as the ETC2.0 unit with VICS functionality and an HDMI input port (1 port) have been added. The powertrain remains unchanged, featuring a 2.8-liter inline-4 turbo diesel engine, and there are no changes to the 6-speed automatic transmission (6AT).

Furthermore, the trim levels remain the same, with two configurations available: "Premium" for 6 passengers in a 3-row layout and "G" for 8 passengers in a 4-row configuration.

Regarding safety features, the Toyota GRANACE comes equipped with a comprehensive safety package called "Toyota Safety Sense," which includes pre-collision safety features with pedestrian detection (day and night) and bicycle detection (daytime). It also features two types of parking support brakes for stationary objects and rear-approaching vehicles (Intelligent Clearance Sonar and Rear Cross-Traffic Auto Brake). A digital inner mirror is standard, and there are no significant changes in this aspect.

Traveling in the luxurious Granace for corporate shuttles sounds like a wonderful experience!
