Mazda announced a partially redesigned version of its CX-30 crossover SUV in September 2023.

The first generation model of the CX-30 went on sale in July 2019, offering a large interior and a small, easy-to-drive body size. The model has received high praise from the market.
The CX-30's recent improvements include enhanced safety, convenience, and comfort, as well as the addition of new body colors. The "Retro Sports Edition" special-edition model combines sportiness with a retro-modern world theme.
No other changes have been made to the exterior, which expresses the elongated beauty and SUV-like strength of the CX-30.
In terms of safety enhancements to the CX-30, based on Mazda's safety philosophy, "MAZDA PROACTIVE SAFETY," new functions have been added to the automatic transmission mis-start control and driver monitoring systems to enhance driving confidence.
The automatic transmission mis-start control function has evolved to include pedestrians (in front) as well as conventional obstacles such as cars and walls.
As for driver monitoring, a "blind-looking alert function" has been newly added. When the sensor detects a driver looking away from the road, the system alerts the driver with an on-screen display and audible warning.
In terms of features, the CX-30 features a 10.25-inch center display, which is larger than the previous 8.8-inch display. Wireless charging (Qi), wireless connectivity (Apple CarPlay), and a USB-Type C terminal (with lighting) have been newly adopted to improve connectivity with mobile devices and ease of operation when getting in and out of the car. In addition to the existing "Comfort Plan," the new "Watch Over" and "Remote Engine Start" plans have been added as paid plans.
Under the "Mazda My Car Care" service, which is included in the "Watch Over" plan, a guard is dispatched from a security company to check the condition of the car and monitor it in the event of tampering with or theft of the car.
In addition, as driver care, by optionally setting the vehicle's speed, driving time, and driving area in the "My Mazda App," the driver can receive alerts via the "My Mazda App" when the set conditions are reached.
Remote engine start allows the driver to turn the engine on and off even when away from the car using the "My Mazda App." This system works in conjunction with the vehicle's air conditioning system to help ensure visibility and a comfortable cabin temperature at the start of the journey.
