The third generation Vellfire is now available!
In June 2023, Toyota Motor Corporation fully remodeled the Vellfire.
The Vellfire is the sibling of the top-of-the-line minivan Alphard, which was introduced in 2002; this full model change marks the third generation of the Vellfire since its first appearance in 2008.
The exterior of the Vellfire retains the basic design of its predecessor, with an even larger front grille and a bold design that integrates the headlamps, front grille, and side pontoons on both sides into a single unit. The large front bumper features chrome moldings and a design that emphasizes a wide and low profile.
The front three-lens LED headlamps have a subtle and elegant image, with the outer lenses cut with an intricate prism.
The Vellfire Executive Lounge comes standard with 225/55R19 tires and 19-inch alloy wheels (machined luster + black paint), while the Z Premier comes standard with 25/55R19 tires and 19-inch alloy wheels (black spattering paint). The Z Premier comes with 25/55R19 tires and 19-inch alloy wheels (black spattering paint) as standard equipment.
In addition, an exclusive grade, Z Premier, has been added to the Vellfire lineup, which is characterized by its unique Vellfire style. The Z Premier grade features an aggressive, yet modern and high-quality design with metallic decorations based on black "jet-black plating".
In the Vellfire's interior design, the basics are the same as those of the Alphard.
The "universal steps" that appear in conjunction with the doors and long-sized assist grips for getting in and out of the car provide excellent ease of entry and exit, welcoming all passengers comfortably.
It is also loaded with features that provide relaxation and hospitality, such as independent moonroofs on both sides, descent-type rear-seat side sunshades, and executive power seats with increased comfort.
In the Vellfire's powertrain, the Z Premier is powered by a 2.4 L inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with high acceleration response. This 2.4L turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine produces maximum torque at low rpm, and the accelerator pedal has a short stroke, so the driver can enjoy acceleration without feeling the weight of the vehicle with a small amount of pressure on the accelerator pedal.
The hybrid uses a newly developed 2.5L in-line four-cylinder Dynamic Force engine + nickel-metal hydride battery + motor.
The Vellfire's safety features include Toyota Safety Sense, which includes "constant steering support when driving in the lane" and "right/left turn deceleration support for signalized intersections" that assists the driver's right/left turn operation by decelerating the vehicle in advance according to the driver's accelerator off and turn signal operation when the vehicle detects the approach of a signaled intersection. This is an enhanced version with the addition of "deceleration support for right/left turns at signal intersections.
