Mitsubishi launches new Delica Mini!

The new Delica Mini is a new Kei-car that inherits the Delica's character, which combines the wildness of an SUV with outstanding practicality.

The exterior of the new Delica Mini features a "dynamic shield" front design and semi-circular LED position lamps integrated into the headlamps, adopting a "sense of intimacy" design. The front bumper and tailgate garnish are stamped with the "DELICA" logo (with a small "mini" logo to the right of the "A" on the tailgate garnish), making the design instantly recognizable as the Delica Mini.
The 4WD version is equipped with large-diameter tires (165/60R15) and specially tuned shock absorbers to enhance stability and comfort when driving on gravel and other unpaved roads.


The interior of the new Delica Mini has the same basic design as the eK Cross Space, with the center portion finished in ivory to emphasize a wider appearance.
The tall and spacious interior also features seats made of water-repellent and breathable material, which is reassuring in outdoor activities. The T Premium and G Premium models also feature a plastic luggage board and PVC rear seatbacks. Outdoor goods that have gotten wet or muddy can be loaded without concern.
In addition, the rear seats feature 320 mm long slides, allowing the space to be arranged to suit the occupants and their luggage.

The new Delica Mini's powertrain is powered by a BR06 engine, available in either NA or intercooled turbocharged versions. A mild hybrid system, in which the motor assists the engine during acceleration, is employed, and an idling stop function, Auto Stop & Go, is also available.
Grip control and hill descent control are also standard equipment.
In addition, turbocharged models feature paddle shifters, which allow the driver to enjoy a sporty driving experience with light shifting.

As for driving assistance and safety features of the new Delica Mini, MyPilot is standard on the T Premium and G Premium models. My Pilot, which uses a front camera and millimeter wave radar, assists driving on highways with two functions: radar cruise control [ACC] and lane keeping assist [LKA]. By assisting the driver to maintain a safe distance even when the driver takes his/her foot off the accelerator pedal, and by helping the driver to stay near the center of the lane by controlling the steering wheel, this system reduces the stress and fatigue felt when driving in traffic jams or for long periods of time.
