PHEV Model Introduced in the New Toyota Prius.

In March, Toyota Motor Corporation launched a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model of the new Prius in the "Z" grade.

The new Prius has been reborn under the concept of "Hybrid Reborn", aiming to be an emotional car with "love-at-first-sight design" and "captivating driving" in addition to high environmental performance. The PHEV model has been added to the Z grade following the hybrid (HEV) model launched in January.

The new "Prius" PHEV model is a high-performance model of the Prius equipped with the latest plug-in hybrid system that combines a compact, high-capacity drive battery, a high-output drive motor, and a highly efficient gasoline engine.

The design of the new "Prius" PHEV model features the same body design as the HEV, but with different detailing and color schemes, sporty and dynamically shaped 19-inch aluminum wheels that foreshadow high-performance driving, a metallic silver painted lower grille that emphasizes advanced performance, and The new Prius PHEV is differentiated by its gray smoke-colored taillights.

The 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid system mounted on the new Prius PHEV model is a newly developed system based on the latest fifth-generation hybrid system, combining a compact, high-capacity drive battery and a high-output drive motor. With maximum system output of 164kW (223PS), approximately twice that of the conventional model, and acceleration of 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds, the new system achieves fuel economy of 26.0km/L~30.1km/L while ensuring overwhelming dynamic performance as a high-performance Prius model.
In addition, the PHEV achieves a driving range of 87km~105km in EV mode, ensuring performance that allows almost all daily driving to be done solely on electricity.

In addition to the "EV Power Supply Mode," which allows the battery to supply power to external sources for leisure and outdoor activities, the PHEV also offers the "HEV Power Supply Mode," which allows the vehicle to be used as a power source in emergencies such as power outages and disasters. When the battery level drops below a certain level, the engine will start and power supply will continue. The car is also equipped with an external power supply attachment as standard equipment to prevent insects and rainwater from entering the interior and to enable external power supply even when the door glass is closed.

Why not go for a drive in the high-performance Prius PHEV, a model with a design you will fall in love with at first sight and outstanding environmental performance?
