Suzuki releases "Solio Bandit HYBRID SV"

On December 15, Suzuki launched the SOLIO HYBRID SZ and SOLIO BANDIT HYBRID SV, compact passenger cars equipped with a hybrid system.

The SOLIO is a compact tall wagon manufactured and sold by Suzuki. The current model, the fourth generation, was launched in 2020. The first generation SOLIO BANDIT was launched in June 2012 as an aero model of the SOLIO, and the current model is the second generation.

The SOLIO HYBRID SZ and SOLIO BANDIT HYBRID SV install an inline 4-cylinder DOHC 1.2-litter "K12C" type dual-jet engine. The specifications are maximum output 67 kW (91 PS) at 6000 rpm and maximum torque 118 Nm (12.0 kgfm) at 4400 rpm. In addition, a compact drive motor that can also generate electricity is installed, and the specifications are maximum output 10 kW (13.6 PS) / 3185-8000 rpm and a maximum torque 30 Nm (3.1 kgfm) / 1000-3185 rpm. It also features Suzuki's unique parallel hybrid system that combines a compact, transmission-efficient 5-speed automatic transmission (AGS).

The SOLIO HYBRID SZ and SOLIO BANDIT HYBRID SV can drive in EV mode by supplying electric power stored during driving to the motor for driveing, which automatically stops the engine during creep driving and constant-speed driving, in addition to motor-assisted driving.In addition, two driving modes are available, and you can select either one depending on your driving situation: one is the Eco mode for more frequent EV driving, and the other one is the Standard mode for powerful and agile driving.


The exterior features a high-quality design with back door side spoilers, and aluminum wheels and instrument panel ornaments in colors exclusive to hybrid models. The SOLIO HYBRID SZ features black metallic aluminum wheels and front grille, etc. And the SOLIO BANDIT HYBRID SV, features medium gray aluminum wheels and chrome door handles.

In the interior, the SOLIO HYBRID SZ features a leather-wrapped shift knob, navy instrument panel ornament, and titanium silver air conditioner side louver garnish and door garnish. The SOLIO BANDIT HYBRID SV features a Bordeaux instrument panel ornament and titanium silver air conditioner side louver garnish and door garnish.

Suzuki's safety features include Suzuki Safety Support, a preventive safety technology that prevents accidents from occurring in the first place. It is equipped with "Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS)" a stereo camera-based collision damage reduction brake system that detects pedestrians at night, Erroneous start prevention, Lane departure warning, Weaving alert, Traffic Movement Notification, and High beam assist, which automatically switches the headlamps between high and low beams.
