Subaru Crosstrek Release Announced!

Subaru has announced that it will remodel the XV and market it under the name Crosstrek.

The new Crosstrek is the successor to the XV, which is based on the Impreza and tailored to look like an SUV, and with this full model change, it has been renamed the Crosstrek, which was used in the North American market and elsewhere in Japan.
The new Crosstrek is available in two grade configurations: Touring and high-end Limited.

The exterior of the new Crosstrek has a front view that expresses muscularity with a high hood position that gives the impression of thickness. The front grille bar and LED headlamps give the front mask a light, yet intrepid image. The side view has enlarged plastic parts on the fender arches to give the impression of high drivability, and the body incorporating dynamic lines and shapes gives the vehicle both dependability and dynamism. In addition, air outlets are located behind the front and rear wheel housings to enhance driving stability, and the area around the outlets has been treated with a surface finish that provides a rectifying effect.
In the rear view, the cabin is narrowed to emphasize the overhang of the fenders and express a sense of stability.
The body size is 5 mm shorter in overall length than the conventional XV, but the overall width and wheelbase are the same. The minimum ground clearance is the same at 200mm.

The interior of the new Crosstrek features an 11.6-inch vertical multi-information display common to the latest Subaru vehicles. It also features Subaru's first "what3words" destination setting system for improved convenience. A new pelvic support structure has been introduced for the seats, and brackets have been eliminated from the seat rail mounting points and fixed directly to the vehicle body to prevent body sway from being transmitted to the head, thereby improving ride comfort.

The new Crosstrek's powertrain is limited to the e-BOXER, which combines a 2.0-liter direct injection DOHC engine and motor, with the Lineartronic belt-operated CVT. The e-BOXER engine has also been improved to reduce vibration and noise even further than the conventional e-BOXER engine, making it even quieter. In addition to the stability of the car created by the BOXER engine, the motor assists the car to provide a very smooth ride even on mountain roads.
Fuel economy is reported to be 16.4 km/liter for the FF model and 15.8 km/liter for the 4WD model.
In addition, FF and 4WD drive systems are available.

The new Crosstrek's safety features include the new-generation "EyeSight" system, which has evolved to a three-lens camera and radar system to cover a wider area than before, and improved detection of bicycles and pedestrians entering right and left turns at intersections, making it even safer.

Why don't you go camping with the new Crosstrek, ideal for outdoor activities?
