Nissan Sakura, the First Electric Vehicle of a Kei car has Arrived!

The Nissan Sakura is a new EV for Kei cars that incorporates the technology that Nissan Motor has cultivated in the "Nissan Leaf" and other vehicles. This model is equipped with a lithium-ion battery and has a cruising range of up to 180km. There is also a model that uses the automatic driving technology "Pro Pilot".


The exterior of the Nissan Sakura has a calm atmosphere by adopting a front design that feels like the next generation of Nissan and a shining emblem. In addition, the headlights are the first in a Kei car to use a three-lens projector type that irradiates light with a lens. The back door is equipped with a wide LED rear combination lamp with a grid hint to make the entire tail lamp shine beautifully.

The wheels are made of aluminum wheels with a design inspired by Mizuhiki, a traditional Japanese craft. The charging port is installed on the right rear side of the vehicle, and the light turns on when the charging port lid is opened so that it can be easily charged even at night.

There are 15 body colors available, including 4 two-tone season colors that are reminiscent of the four seasons of Japan.



In the interior of Nissan Sakura, two displays, a speedometer with a 7-inch advanced drive assists display and a large-screen 9-inch navigation, are laid out horizontally. The shape is designed to match the movement of the driver's line of sight, making it easy to use and see. In addition, the Nissan Connect navigation system offers many features that make your car life more comfortable: Route setting function considering charging, emergency SOS call, Apple Car Play wireless connection.

The Nissan Sakura powertrain uses a motor that delivers a maximum torque of 195 Nm, and advanced control technology enables quick and smooth acceleration. By optimizing the structure of this motor, we have achieved the highest level of quietness for a Kei car. In addition, the lower center of gravity enhances the stability of the vehicle body, resulting in high ride quality when passing over steps.

The drive mode can be selected from "Eco", "Standard", and "Sport", and you can enjoy driving according to the scene.

Nissan Sakura is equipped with the e-Pedal Step function. This function allows you to control the speed of the car with just the accelerator pedal, making it even more comfortable to drive in urban areas where acceleration and deceleration are repeated, and on snowy roads where smooth deceleration is required.

There are two technologies as advanced equipment of Nissan Sakura. The first is "Pro Pilot," an automated driving technology for single lanes on highways. The second is "Pro Pilot Parking," which automatically controls all of the steering, accelerator, brakes, shift changes, and parking brakes when parking.
