Mitsubishi Motors has partially improved the crossover SUV " ECLIPSE CROSS ".
The ECLIPSE CROSS is a crossover SUV featuring a powerful front design, and the PHEV model was added in 2020.
The exterior of the ECLIPSE CROSS is a stylish SUV that uses a thin LED headlight that gives a thin and sharp impression by further evolving the sleek body design like a specialty coupe and the new front design "Dynamic Shield".
In this partial improvement of the ECLIPSE CROSS, in addition to expanding the driving support equipment, we have set up a special specification car "G Limited Edition" that has been enhanced and the price has been reduced.
In terms of safety functions, the driving support function "Mitsubishi e-Assist" has been enhanced for both PHEV and gasoline models. The rear side vehicle detection and warning system "BSW / LCA (with lane change assist function)", which was previously only "P", and the reverse vehicle detection and warning system "RCTA" are standard equipment on the "G".
In addition, the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model has newly adopted the same-lane driving support function "My Pilot" on the expressway (standard equipment on "P" and "G" grades). By supporting the accelerator, brake, and steering operations, the burden on the driver is reduced when driving in heavy traffic on the highway or when cruising for a long time.
The ECLIPSE CROSS "G Limited Edition" has a stylish exterior equipped with 18-inch aluminum wheels with a brilliant cutting finish, while being in a position that is almost halfway between the "M" and "G" grades.
In the interior, in addition to the seats made of high-grade fabric material and the genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel (with black decoration), LED interior illumination is installed on the front door to add a high-quality feel. In addition, it is fully equipped with functional equipment that enhances convenience and comfort, such as ACC, head-up display, electric parking brake, and driver / passenger seat heaters.
"G Limited Edition" is a grade with extremely high cost performance.
2WD and 4WD are set only for the gasoline engine model.
In the ECLIPSE CROSS powertrain, gasoline engine vehicles are equipped with a 1.5L turbo engine. MIVEC, a variable valve timing mechanism, is used in the engine to achieve powerful driving from low speeds and reduced fuel consumption. The drive system can be selected from 2WD and 4WD.
The PHEV model is equipped with the same system as the Outlander, and basically runs on a motor, and the engine runs when the battery is low or when more power is needed. Only 4WD is available for PHEV models.
