Honda released the new SUV "WR-V" on March 22, 2024.

The Honda WR-V is the domestic version of the "ELEVATE" produced and sold by Honda in India, and in Japan, it is treated as an imported car. The name WR-V is derived from the initials of "Winsome Runabout Vehicle," with "Winsome" meaning "fun" or "liveliness," expressing the desire for people to enjoy lively days with this car.

The Honda WR-V lineup includes three types: the entry-grade "X," the mid-grade "Z," and the top-grade "Z+." All grades are equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and only available in 2WD.

In terms of exterior, the Honda WR-V features a strong and rugged SUV styling, emphasizing a compact yet dignified appearance with a voluminous front design and a rear design that highlights a high center of gravity and a horizontal theme. The body size of the WR-V is 4325×1790×1650mm (length × width × height), with a wheelbase of 2650mm. The body colors include the newly adopted Illuminous Red Metallic, as well as Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Gold Brown Metallic, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic, with Crystal Black Pearl being the only premium color.

Inside the Honda WR-V, a clean and horizontal design is adopted for a clear view and attention to detail in texture, providing a comfortable and high-quality feel when seated and spacious interior in all seats. The top-grade Z+ / Z features a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather-wrapped select lever, offering a higher-grade interior. The interior color scheme is primarily black across all grades.

For the powertrain, all models of the Honda WR-V adopt a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine paired with a CVT transmission. This CVT not only achieves smooth driving but also features G-Design Shift control, allowing step-up and step-down shifts when the accelerator is pressed deeply, and it includes a low-ratio gear for linear and comfortable driving. Additionally, paddle shifters are adopted for enjoyable shift changes, providing a sense of manual transmission.

In terms of safety features, Honda SENSING is standard equipment on all models, incorporating a system that utilizes a front wide-view camera and front and rear eight sonar sensors, offering 13 functions including rapid acceleration suppression.
